35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Eric brings more than 35 years of leadership and development experience gained through both an exciting and wide-ranging military career and successful corporate leadership positions. He holds a Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University, and is a Registered Corporate Coach, Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst and Certified Professional Values Analyst.
PASSION FOR AVIATION
I have long combined my love of flying and all things aviation with my experience in restoring vintage vehicles and aircraft to acquire and fly rare vintage military fighter planes at airshows. The thrill of keeping these rare pieces of history in front of other aviation enthusiasts is only surpassed by witnessing the joy of veteran pilots, mechanics and soldiers as they see “their” aircraft operational again. Inspiring young kids and teens to embrace Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and imagine themselves flying in the future is a privilege like few others.
HONORING VETERANS
As Chairman of the Board of the The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation (AAHF), I am honored to lead and support the organization’s mission to honor veterans and inspire our nation’s youth through aviation.
The AAHF is a national, one-of-a-kind, non-profit, all-volunteer organization composed of Veterans, their families, and civilian supporters. The AAHF is acting to connect the American soldier to the American public as an active, accepted, and admired member of the American family by presenting the story of Army Aviation and the American soldier.
The AAHF is providing America an opportunity to hear its Veterans share their stories and see its military legacy in flight and in action. The AAHF also focuses on helping promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) by providing aviation oriented displays and interactions that help inspire young learners to engage in the educational disciplines that are so vital for the future.
HELPING CURE CANCER
I have combined my love of Cycling with a pure hatred for the ravishes of Cancer to help raise money for Pedal the Cause.
Founded in 2009 with the bold model of using 100% of public donations to fund world-class cancer research, Pedal the Cause has quickly become the gateway to curing cancer – all cancers, for everyone. In this period of diminished federal funding where support typically gets funneled to already proven concepts, many potential new ideas are not deemed eligible. Pedal the Cause donations “seed” best-in-breed ideas at our beneficiaries to allow the cultivation of proof of concept and critical data. These seeded projects often turn into groundbreaking results that lead to new treatments and cures, preventions, and early detection diagnostics.
